I restarted my windows 8.1 Asus laptop for update and next time I open it, it said automatically repairing computer? I have tried f8 tapping it holding it NOTHING WILL WORK.

If you are hearing clicking, then the hard drive is most likely going bad. The arm in the drive makes the clicking sound when it is trying to find a surface to read. You might be able to recover some data by docking the drive to another computer, or running a recovery program such as Spinrite - but I really hope you backed up the drive because it is probably toast.

No, but hard drives can fail at any point in time - no matter how new. Sure, it is unlikely and you could have received a "lemon". Does it click all the time? If it is new, sending it in under warranty shouldn't cost you anything.
