Solved! Windows freezes 5 min after boot

Helleow,

as the title says my Notebook freezes about five minutes after I press the power button. I have absolutely no idea what could cause this because a day before everything was fine (didn’t change anything in that period of time).

The one and only time this happened before was when I activated Intel Virtualization in the UEFI. After that I had the issue with the WindowsFreeze. After it froze about three times I deactivated it and everything worked.

Now I have the exact same problem, but Intel Virtualization is still deactivated.

CPU: i7-6700HQ
GPU: Geforce GTX 960m (OC with MSI Afterburner)
RAM: 16GB
SSD: 120GB
HDD: 2TB
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop's motherboard. You can also try and see if removing one of the sticks of ram changes your issue. Can you pass on an SKU for your HP Pavilion 17?
