Windows messenger live slow

trying to find out why my messenger is like deadly slow.
my pc is a hardcore gaming rig
but still msn takes a buttload of time to start up when i start a chatbox its slow. when i klikk on messenger it loads forever and after a minutte its ok
basicly every action takes forever to load with no reason

What are the specs of your "hardcore gaming rig"? What operating system are you using? How long by a rough second count does it take MSN messenger to load once you double click on the shortcut?

RAM: corsair vengeance ddr3 1600MHz 8GB cl9
GPU: nvidia geforce gtx 480
AUDIO CARD: ASUS Xonar D2X/XDT 7.1 Channel PCI Express
HDD:western digital 1unit)caviar black 1TB, 3units)Caviar® green 2TB
PSU:corsair tx650w

and startin up take 1minutte, and when i klikk on someone on my friendslist it takes the same amount of time
does not swallow my memory at all or processes

open Internet Explorer
- go to Tools -> Internet Options
- go to "Connections" tab
- click on "LAN settings" button
- uncheck "Automatically detect settings"
profit!!
