hello, my Acer screen got crashed so i connected to another screen using an HDMI and its been working fine. But this time round as am transferring work to a flash, it blacks out so i connect to power. I then try to restart but it just shows the acer logo, then the windows logo then shows purple screen with "working on updates don't turn off computer". It then shows that its restarting but instead goes back to the acer logo and continues the same process for about 30 minutes. it has since then been that way. Please help me find a solution. Thanx in advance:)

Hi,

It seems like a hardware problem already but here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- If it will just load back to the ACER logo then to the same error onnect to power. I then try to restart but it just shows the acer logo, then the windows logo then shows purple screen with "working on updates don't turn off computer" your last option would be to reinstall Windows.
- If you still need some files in your HDD you can pull it out off the laptop then install it onto a different PC or laptop then backup your files.
- Once done, proceed with reinstalling Windows with your HDD.

If you're using Windows 10, you can create your own bootable Windows USB or disc.

Here's how to create a bootable Windows 10 USB or disc:

And here's how to install Windows 10:

Hopefully this steps will help. :)
