Windows shutdown to prevent damage

Hello,
Apower outage occured. After few minutes my compaq presario laptop had a blue screem saying that a problem was detected and windows shut down to prevent damage. I turn off the computer and on back but I get the same error message even if I start in Safe Mode or using last working session.

can u you give OS Specification, and HDD specification like SATA or IDE?

If its IDE and win 7 is installed, change bios setting: sata controller to AHCI from IDE or just enable sata mode.

If the HDD is SATA and win xp is installed you need to change the setting vice-versa. ie. you need to change SATA mode to IDE if its not present then disable the SATA mode.

Its just that your bios got default due to power fluctuation.
