Wireless capability randomly stopped working.

So one day my laptop’s wireless just stopped for some reason. It can’t even scan for routers. When I troubleshoot the problem it says that i need to turn on the wireless capability, but it is on. It is shining blue, but if I try to turn off the wireless, it stays lit. I can turn off the wireless by manually going to the control center and turning it off, but the button on the keyboard will stay lit. Other wireless products can still connect in my house.

What I had done so far
- Checked the adapter settings>LAN>properties>internet protocol 4 and made sure it is set to automatic connection
-Went to cmd as admin, and input "netsh winsock reset”
-safe mode, safe mode with networking
-Thinking it was a virus or something I reset my laptop.

Sounds like a hardware issue.

The simplest solution is to get a USB wifi adapter.

If you are more adventurous, you can replace the internal card, but need to open the notebook.

Ok, so while waiting for it to come it the mail, my friend did something to my laptop and it's fixed now. I don't know if it will happen again but if it does then I will put it in. Thanks for replying.

Thanks for the followup. It may be an intermittent issue, and use the USB wifi adapter as a backup.
