Wireless not coming on

I have a Satellite L505. My wireless light goes in and out randomly. Sometimes when I turn the computer on, it's on, other times, it's not. I have both Windows and Ubuntu on this computer, and, regardless of which I boot up with, I am sometimes unable to get the wireless to turn on. When I first turn on the computer, the orange light flashes momentarily, and then goes out. Nothing shows up when I go to network settings/adapters. Any ideas?
