Would an Elgato HD60 work with this laptop?

I can't get 3 ghz within my price range ($400).
Can I settle for this laptop? If the Elgato HD60 is too much for it to handle, would the lesser Elgato HD work?
I wouldn't be streaming or playing games with it, just recording.

The HD60 is a self-contained HDPVR. It doesnt put any load on your system, except for a small amount to preview recording (which you can disable). It'll work on pretty much anything. So, yes
