Would this cpu cooler be any good?

Hey I have a Phenom II x2 550, idle 27-34 on stock cooler 52 under load.

after i unlock the 2 cores and make it a x4 B50 at 3.1ghz no overclock idle is similar but load goes 60+ i believe under prime95

I was wondering if this cooler would do the job.

I need to run a test of prime 95 and was wondering if this cooler would do the job....

That cooler is not going to be any better than the stock heat-sink. Others on here will be sure to help you in finding a good heat-sink for your needs.

Yeah, skip on that cooler.
Not any better than what you have now.
If you take a look at FrostyTech's Top Hs List, you can get a good idea of what coolers you should be looking at.

i saw a review on this cooler tested on a Phenom II x2 545 and it was 48c under load. so thats not bad but i suppose your right

I own two 550's and have unlocked both using a Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler. One of the best in my option for the price.
Also my 550's ran between 45c-48c under load un-locked on the stock coolers under prime 95 after 8hrs.
