I have a thinkpad x230 after a hard reset it was stuck at the splash screen every time after i powered it on. After a safe start i was able to enter bios and set optimized defaults and check that the boot priority was right. I tried removing one ram stick aswell as reseating the ssd. The latter allowed me to choose it from a list of alternative boot drives and run bios diagnostics on it, though still no boot. It's not the ssd as i can succesfully boot on another pc. I usually am able to solve theese problems by myself but i am a bit lost here any help would be appreciated ;)

Yes it does and its at the top off the boot priority, also before i enter the bios there is an option with alternative boot options( first time I've seen such an option in a laptop) where it is along with lan boot ;) also as i wrote the bios can communicate with the drive as it can run a diagnostic on it ;)
