People still play seven year old consoles? Time for something new.

[citation][nom]alvine[/nom]microsoft, sell consoles with wired controllers for the time being[/citation]
But the wireless tech is built in so it is not the actual controller but the controller tech built within that is the problem.

As far as I know it is the same tech used for the wireless dongle used with the PC controllers. Are they in danger too?

Well, maybe the could get around the patents if they change the the tech they are using for wireless into Bluetooth for all new controllers and consoles.

F... Microsoft! This happens only because Microsoft started to racketeer the Android manufacturers. I really hope that Microsoft will bite the dirt this time! They deserve it for being extortionists and for using backstabbing tactics to destroy the competition. They did it in the 90ties when they destroyed all competition to PC Windows and now they are trying to do the same in the smartphone market!

Gather ye XBOX 360s while ye may

At least it's between a company that makes stuff, and another company that makes stuff. If the plaintiff were one of those IP aggregators, they'd need to be fragged - or at least subjected to 100 contiguous days of that Kinect animal game.

When you throw shit at your biggest competitors to siphon their hard earned money, they will eventually start to throw shit back. XB360 import ban would be an insanely hilarious turn of events.

How's that feel M$? Next time leave well enough (FOSS/Android) alone.

Shaw claimed there was no indication that Sony and Nintendo would be unable to meet consumer demand
Sony fails to meet my demand for a system with decent games and a controller that doesn't cause physical pain to my hands after 15 min that isn't run by a bunch of Nazis.
Nintendo fails to meet my demand for a real gaming system at all. Fun party games, but not a real gaming system.

Motorola fails to realize that if the ban is upheld, they could become a very publicly-hated company. It won't matter if they have patents if people start refusing to buy Motorola stuff based on principle.

You may be overrating the Xbox360 love and user base.

Lawyers: 1 (they win regardless of their client winning or losing)
Consumers: 0 (Yes, you're paying for the lawyers)
Management: 1 (they look like they are doing something to better returns to the shareholders even though it's a long-term loss for the entire industry)

Microsoft: "Can I play with you guys?"

Sony: "Can't hang with the big boys."

Nintendo: "Tell me about it."

Apple: "I'm an Apple, weee!" :)
