This isnt very suprising and I don't think its anything malicious on Microsofts part. Droid, iphone, black berry, and other phones all have different architectures. You can't honestly expect Microsoft to make their xbox live game platform work on all those different phones by different makers. So ofcoarse they are going to stick with a unified windows phone based platform that they can control.
