I am looking for a cable that connects a subwoofer with red and black cables to a home theatre amp that uses a single RCA for the sub. I could just plug a red and black into the speaker channels, but I would prefer a adapter so I could use the crossover.

This may not be the ideal solution, but I get all my adapter/gender changers/small cabling off eBay. First off you need to know what ends you need, 3.5mm to dual RCA sounds like it's right? The red and black should just be power and ground. Strip an RCA wire and you've got two wires. As to which one goes where, not sure. I don't know a lot about home audio.

I don't think that would work, it is a double red and black wire, which is standard speaker wires, not RCA, coming from a mono RCA. so mono out to stereo input, which is still mono but its a bass speaker so it doesn't matter.

If your woofer is not self powered (no power cord) and has speaker wire connections you will need an amplifier to connect it to a surround sound receiver with an RCA sub out.
