Hello

I am working on building a small home studio , mainly working with vsts in the DAW, and i have just bought 2 Yamaha HS80Ms for use as studio monitors.

I am wondering about my soundblaster z and the setup i have already ordered in order to route the audio from the rear i/o "Front L/R" output to each of the HS80s.

I have purchased these in order to do so: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0732QSSRZ/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item

and : https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077GTHRDY/ref=pe_3187911_189395841_TE_3p_dp_1

So i am going to split the output of the front l/r socket to the two 1/4 " TRS cables , which are 'balanced' using a 3.5mm to 2x 1/4 female y splitter - which i am assuming is unbalanced.

If the splitter is unbalanced will this be a problem in the way the signal travels, as in will the signal running through the balanced jack to jack cables still be balanced after it passes the splitter?

Also will this a yield a stereo output when both HS80s are plugged?

I am also going to be getting an audio interface in the future as money allows but at the moment i am hoping this will suffice? Are there any problems doing it this way?

Thanks for any help you can give.

In case it helps i will mention my whole rig specs:

Ryzen 1700 @3.6ghz
8gb 2666 mhz DDR4
2x 2 TB HDDs
1x 1 TB SSD
1060 6gb
Soundblaster z
Corsair h100i AIO
Corsair 850 RM PSU

Solution
The splitters and cables you link to won't work. You are confusing stereo unbalanced 1/4" with mono balanced (TRS) 1/4". The plugs are the same but the connections are not.
All you need to connect the monitors to your PC is this cable

Thanks for your help my friend. I managed to cancel the splitter order and will use the refund to get that cable. I can use the 2 balanced TRS for when i get a focusrite 212 which worked out well.
