Question Yahoo Mail - 12month + Reactivation - Old Emails?

I've gone long stretches where I didn't log into my old Yahoo mail account. This time however my backlog of emails were gone. Is there any way to recover? I think there was a message that the emails were gone since it had been 12 months since logging into the account.
