Question Yamaha AV Receiver ARC Stopped Working

I updated Android TV on my Sony Bravia this week. Since then the ARC audio has stopped working with my Yamaha RX-V383 receiver. I can resolve temporarily by turning ARC off and on again in the receiver setup menu, but the issue comes back every time the receiver goes into standby.

I’ve tried fiddling with the settings on the TV and receiver but no success.

Has anyone else come across this? Any ideas how to resolve?

I have a similar issue with my RX v485. Everything was working perfectly. Now when I switch from cable TV to Netflix the TV sound output doesnt come through ARC to the Yamaha. I can get it to work temporarily the same as you. Ive fiddled with everything too but I have not resolved it.

Anything new to report?

If yours is a Sony TV too, found out that it’s an issue with the Android Oreo update.
