I have an Yamaha Stereo REC/AMP I want to use on my new LCD TV FOR some add on speakers.
The problem is the speakers for it are damaged and so I need new ones.
I have some speakers here that are a 8 om. The Yamaha lists on back that it can use Speakers of (6 n Min.\ Speaker.) The mark by the 6 and I used a (n) cuz it says 6 with the n or so it looks LIKE.. YOU smart guys know what I mean. I think it means it can use 6 om and up so the 8 om speakers I have now should be ok???

The n sign you mention is probably the greek letter Omega (like the watch brand) which is shorthand for Ohms. The Yamaha needs speakers of a minimum of 6 Ohms -- so 8 Ohms will be fine.
