Your instructions on how to install Magic Lantern on 6D is incomplete

In Tom's instructions they say to download magic lantern directly onto the SD card and insert and follow instructions. Have you tried that? Well it doesn't work. The download file is a zip file. If you follow the ML website instructions it says to copy the ML files from the download and paste onto SD card. Either way I am not getting any auto install prompts. Nothing happens at all. Biggest issue is lack of installation support. Both Tom's and ML have vague, incomplete instructions that both differ so I can't tell what to do. Does anyone have a complete installation procedure including the file handling at the very beginning? Do I unzip? Do I include the autoexec file? Or do I just paste the unzipped ML folder onto newly formatted SD card?
