A few days ago, I asked advice on a cheap used tablet ... say under $50 ... just to play YouTube

The only recommendation I got was Amazon Fire. I can get a re-certified 7 in my price range.

But then I found an article labeled "why you can not watch youtube smoothly on Amazon Fire"

Long article saying there is not a app in the Amazon store for Youtube ????

Then a bunch of stuff on side loading and such ????

So, will Fire play Youtube smoothly or do I need some other unit?

Thanks ... Mike

PS ... I did see an app on Amazon so I don't understand the article .... but it has a 2014 release date on it

Amazon and Google are competitors, at some point one or the other did something that was not liked and since the Fire tablet does not use the full Android app store, there is no YouTube app for the tablet.
However YouTube may work through using the web browser, but I don't have one around to try it to see how well it works.

May be better to just get a full Android tablet with full access to the Google Play store.

Lenovo Tab M8 is about $100 , some Samsungs are about that. Really anything under $100 would be low quality and breaks often or like the Fire tablet, have restrictions.
