I purchase a M.2 SSD from crucial 500gb to add into my laptop GA502D ROG from ASUS. For sometime, the ssd works fine, but on some cases either i shutdown the laptop or sleep the laptop by closing the lid, and when i turn on the laptop, it stuck at the asus boot logo. I can't access the bios, the drive led on the laptop not flashing so i though its ssd problem. The only temporary fix i have for this is by opening the case and remove the ssd, then i can boot into window. Then only i shutdown and reinsert the ssd and i started to work again. Here's the thing, i have been doing this for the pass few days and i ask the crucial customer support and they offered my with the "change power setting in advance power option in control center" but the problem still occur.... Anyone experience this before and also what should i do ? i almost strip my screw from the constant unscrewing......

Is the BIOS of the laptop up to date?

Check the SSD by the crucial tool box and update the firmware if available.

How hot is your SSD getting at max. while being used?

Which exact laptop model do you have? Could only find the GA502DU
https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/GA502DU/HelpDesk_BIOS/

My exactly model is GA502D-UAL035T since it’s soldered 8gb ram.
I checked the ssd firmware and so is the bios version, all up to date.
I stored large size game in that ssd which might heat the SSD up but I didn’t check the temperature, however, sometimes when idling, I would just close the lid, then the same problem occur..... which doesn’t make sense since I use that ssd only for game, not application which would run in background causing the ssd to heat up(Steam might be the cause).
By the way, let’s just say heating is the issue(which I don’t know that before), what other ssd should i try? Or is there no hope for my case ?
