ZTE Maven won't turn on

I had on ZTE Maven on charge when I went to unplug it the phone was extremely hot.. I received a text msg and sent one out and then my screen went black and now it won't charge or come on or light up or anything..it's not under warranty any longer...has it fried something? Does anyone have any suggestions?

It may be fried, but maybe not.

First, since you say it was hot, I would suggest trying a new battery. That is the simplest solution. If that doesn't do it, well then, it may well be a brick.

The battery is not removable...not by me anyway...it says non-removable.

I think that is the worst feature companies have come up with, and it is becoming more common. Not good.

You could try testing the charger cord. See if it works on a different device, and try a different cord on your phone. If the old cord is bad, then you can replace it. If you a different cord still doesn't get your phone to power up, then I would go back to the battery being the issue.

I tried a different cord and that wasn't the problem...I've had the phone a year this month..it's not still under warranty.. I would say you are right and the battery is my problem..thank you for your suggestions!!
