Can I install a 64 bit WIN 7 on a desktop that is currently running a version of WIN 7 32 bit as a dual-boot setup? I would love to max it out with 16 GB ram in anticipation of WIN 10, when available ...

my lappy is vaio f series f15319.i installed ubuntu with dual boot.it installed successfully.the next time i start my lappy it always opens windows 8.it doesnt give me any option to select from ubuntu or windows 8.please help..
