1 TB HDD + IPS vs. 500 GB HDD + 8 GB SSD?

Both have 8 GB RAM and i7-4510u processer.

The second laptop however does not have a numeric keypad. I prefer not having a numeric keypad.

The first is 15.6". The second is 14".

Both 1080p.

There's no real difference. If you don't want a numeric keypad, then go with that one.

I gather the 500GB + 8GB SSD is actually a SSHD.
