Hi, im about to buy a notebook for media consumption and some medium gaming (skyrim, fallout 4, both heavy moded and some ark on a private server and way older games) and my budget (and the crazy taxes of my country) give me 2 choices with ZERO chance to upgrade anything in 6 to 8 months:

HP Omen
i7-7700HQ 2.8GHz (3.8Ghz Turbo boost)
16 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
Hard Drive: 2TB 5400 RPM
NVIDIA´s GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5

Or i can get:

Notebook MSI LEOPARD
i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz (3.5GHz Turbo boost)
8GB DDR4 2133MHz (8GB x1)
Hard Drive: 1TB (7200rpm)
NVIDIA's GTX 1060 3G GDDR5

The first one cost 80 dollars more and it was my first choice (newer CPU, twice the RAMM and twice the storage) but my mind scream the 1060 3GB is faster than the 1050 4GB but im also thinking the extra GB of video , higher (and newer) CPU clock and extra (little bit faster) RAMM should help with the mods.

Sorry if is a redundant and obvious post but i need to check it out to feel better wile im eating cans of beans for 6 months.

Thank you in advance :)

go for the 2nd choice.its obvious the 1060 is faster(obviously) and the 1050 wont be able to use all of the 4gb.unless its the 1050ti.the 6700hq is still a powerhouse and performance difference between them should be minimal or none at all.u can always upgrade your ram in the future and get an external storage however you wont be able to upgrade the gpu.that reason alone is enough for me to get the MSI.(plus it looks way cooler)
