It took me quite a bit of hunting before I found a monitor that would go above 1080p. I wanted a monitor that could display 1:1 1080p in a window.

I picked up a Samsung 2343BWX 23" 16:9 with a resolution of 2048 x 1152. Works great. Full screen Blu-rays look awesome as well even though they are being interpolated.
Lets face it, all these different size monitors are not perfect 1920 x 1080 pixel LCD panels. They are all being interpolated. There's no such thing as a "native" resolution these days (ok, maybe on some of the lower end monitors using older LCD tech). We all know that all those 20" to 27" monitors don't have the same number of pixels in their LCD panels, but they mostly all have the same "native" resolution. There seems to be quite the mix of pixel densities but we're told they are all 1080p monitors.
