6950 unlock black screen on boot

Hello,

i recently purchased a powercolor 6950 2Gb

i followed the techpowerup.com guide to unlocking through winflash, but it would come up with an idmismatch error.
i then followed the additional instructions using cmd and when i would boot the screen would would stay black, so i revetred back to the other bios. has anybody else had this problem?

i heard almost all reference 6950 can be unlock but there are no 100% guarantee it can unlock successfully into 6970. to me the card was made into 6950 for a reason. btw you should read his thread:
