7800GS unlocked pipes?

My Gainward 6800Ultra broke down a few weeks ago. Now the shop is sending me a POV 7800GS as a replacement. I was wondering if its possible to unlock the extra pipes (16->24) and what the risks involved with that are? Thanks a lot.

No such thing on the 7800GS. You can't unlock anything on that card. Sorry. It's a good card, but no extra pipelines.

Oh and btw, its AGP.

Okay I looked at another forum, those extra pipelines are cut with laser, so they can't be unlocked. But a nice OC should be possible.
Btw is a Point of View 7800GS equel or better, compared to a Gainward 6800Ultra Golden Sample? If not, I'm sending the card back ofcourse.

I have seen 7800GS's hitting 500/1400 on other forums with standard cooling. 8)

Maybe They Can But I Thinks That Will Kill The Card After 5 Hours of Playing FEAR at Maximum Detail , I Dont Risk That High :!:
It Your Choice , But Dont Risk Burning That Monster , The Card With Even Stock Setting is Still A Top Card 😀
