Solution Tradesman1 May 13, 2015 If in the budget, yes I'd go the 980, will keep you happier longer than a 970 will

(See benchmarks here: http/www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-980M.126692.0.html) As for FPS at 1080p, 980M will allow you to play on ultra settings with decent FPS. 970M can still get you 40-50 fps at ultra settings. See benchmarks: For the 980M: http/www.digitaltrends.com/computing/nvidia-reveals-maxwell-based-geforce-gtx-980m-970m-laptop-gpus-980m-benchmarked-tested/ For the 970M: http/www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-geforce-maxwell-mobile-gtx-970m-gtx-980m,27833.html Personally, I don't think the 980M is worth it. I would rather get a good PC for gaming and a portable laptop that doesn't heat up so much. Upvote 0 Downvote
