980M over 970M, worth it?

Hi Everyone!

I'm trying to decice between 2 Asus ROG laptops.
1 is equipped with 980M the other is with 970M. Does the 980M worth the extra cost?

If your laptop's screen resolution is not above 1920 them the 980 is not worth it.

As for FPS at 1080p, 980M will allow you to play on ultra settings with decent FPS. 970M can still get you 40-50 fps at ultra settings.

Personally, I don't think the 980M is worth it. I would rather get a good PC for gaming and a portable laptop that doesn't heat up so much.

Desktop pc is not an option for me right now.
I have to move around a lot so I need a decent gaming laptop.

If in the budget, yes I'd go the 980, will keep you happier longer than a 970 will

I would say the price is worth the performance gain.
