980m vs 980m 8gb

Why are there 2 versions of the 980m in the MSI GT80 laptop?

THere is one for 4700 dollars which has 2x 980m ali (4gb/4gb)

and then there is another MSI GT80 twice as much the cost with 8gb/8gb.

Why are they so expensive? I was hoping that the 4700 dollar one would have the 8gb version.

No point to 8GB on mobile GPU. And if you are spending that much money you should be getting one with a 980. NOT a 980m

the 980 (notebook) is soldered tho and I can't find any msi notebook with the desktop 980 that amazon is selling?
