a good free avi to gif converter?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a free avi to gif converter that does not require a purchase of the full version to save your file?

I've tried "Image Converter and Editor" but it can't seem to read my avi file.

It's cool link Jerbo! But actually I use and strongly recommend to try "video avatar" at geovid. It costs too but I'm sure it worth their money .

What about me,i prefer to use VidGIF 2.3 (http/www.geovid.com/VidGIF/ )
for convert video to gif,very simple programm.

X2X Free Video Capture has a function of advanced capture which I think equals to avi to gif converter. It can capture pictures from videos automatically for you every second/frame or totally 10/100 pictures from the whole video. It['s free and only asks for a few clicks to do this.
