A problem with DBAN (won't boot from USB)

Hello, I've burnt DBAN iso to my USB flash drive, but no matter what I try, when I restart my laptop, it completely ignores it and boots straight to the OS. I've done everything correctly in BIOS, enabled legacy and booting from USB and put it in the first place of priority. I've tried 2 different USB flash drives, both of which worked as bootable when I used them with Ubuntu iso. I've tried 2 different versions of DBAN. I've tried burning the iso with dd command in Ubuntu, using Disk Image Mounter and mkusb-dus. I've tried unmounting the USB flash drive before burning the iso. Is there any way to make it work? I don't have windows, so my options for a hdd wipe program are limited.

I've prepared a USB flash drive in the same way with Ubuntu iso and it has worked just fine, only with DBAN there is a problem

My laptop is Lenovo-B51-80

I would be very happy for any help

Thank you for the answer, unfortunately I can't use Rufus as I don't use Windows and there is no Rufus for Linux. I don't think that the problem lies with me not setting up the bootable USB properly, because I've tried different tools and ways that are normally used for this purpuse, and none of those worked (they worked with other isos). Unless a bootable DBAN USB needs to be set up in a much different way than an average iso (I've really tried a lot of options)

Anyway, I'm going to buy a CD on Monday, so hopefully it will do better than a flash drive

You could also use a Live USB stick, most easy to make with THIS tool to use it to boot and then wipe the drive.

not sure how ubuntus bios works but on win 10, in order for the flash drive to show on my boot list properly i had to fully disable boot security on the laptop before trying to run dban. spent 2 hours tearing my hair out wondering why it wouldnt boot....
