Hello

I have a dell Inspiron, perfectly working until one day while ill was playing a game it suddenly switched off and when I booted it back up it said *AC power type cannot be determined*so this means it wont charge my laptop at all, when I hover over the charging icon it says *plugged in not charging*.
I have honestly tried everything
.Ran my own diagnostics -everything working as it should
.Uninstalling the ac adaptor and battery and replacing it
.Tried another charger
.Tapping above the ac adaptor where the button *ESC* is

If anyone could help please It would be most appreciated

Thank you

It sounds like the power jack may need to be replaced - Which could mean the motherboard will need replacing. That is a common issue with Dells for some reason.

If you feel comfortable doing it yourself, there are probably videos on the net to walk you through it. Otherwise you could try a local tech/repair shop.
