acer aspire 5760 laptop no bootable device insert boot disk error. Please help

My daughter was watching YouTube when her laptop crashed and bow says no bootable device

Either Windows needs to be re-installed (Factory Recovery) or the hard drive has died & must be replaced.

Try Factory Recovery first & if that process won't run, it's very likely a dead hard drive but get that confirmed first by testing it with a boot CD containing SeaTools for DOS, the CD image for which is here: http/www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/item/seatools-dos-master/

Iv just found out that my daughter spilt water on her laptop, which explains why when I removed the hdd it was wet under it. I'm gunna try system to restore if I can but having trouble sorting it as even in bios it doesn't recognise the hdd

do you have a spare laptop drive or can borrow one to see if the bios recognizes the drive because if still not see the drive then it is a motherboard issue?
