Acer Aspire 7551 will not recover

Hi everyone, I am having a major problem with my acer laptop. I was trying to play an older game when it happened. On the beginning video the game froze and I couldn't alt delete or anything, so I just forced shut down. Well after that the computer would just start up as usual and go to a black screen and repeat. I tried doing D2D Recovery and it said the PQSERVICE was missing and aborted. Next I did the recovery discs and it has been stopped on the restore destination for over 3 hours and just keeps loading. I'm not really tech savvy, but I am good at following directions. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you able to boot into safe mode by presing F8 on startup?

uh no. only F2 and F12 work. Also after waiting for about 5 hours on the recovery process it said "Fail to format Disc 0 Partition 3"

So does this mean I have to get something replaced in the laptop or get a new one?
