acer aspire laptop screen has turned sideways and I cant log in. keyboard not reacting. Is ther a fix for this

Has anyone had their laptop screen turn sideways and not be able to login to fix problem

Years ago, this was an office jape. You leave your desk and a colleague creeps up to your keyboard and presses Control and the right arrow together and the screen's display turns through ninety degrees.

You need to press Control and the appropriate arrow to reverse what's been ddone to your system and you probably don't need to log in to do it.

Thanks for the hint, unfortunately it hasn't worked. Looks like it's into town with it

Try restarting the machine and see if you can catch it before the desktop finishes loading. The keyboard only appears to be inoperative becaue the cursor isn't in the right place.
