yep i didnt open up the laptop just took off edge cover then unscrewed 6 screws and layed the screen on keyboard, unplugged the cam/mic,then unplugged the cable connection from the screen. Then put in new screen in the same way
Before i changed the screen everything was working 100% as the old screen was just scratched.
The only troublesome part was the screen display cable connection that fits into the screen, i had to try a few times to make it seat into place correctly, thats the only thing i can think of where i might of gone wrong.
Yes, because you have some pins with power and the pins before and after you have a ground. But, take out the cable and look at the screen connector for foreign particle, who could make a short. Also examine the cable and clean it from residue. Also disconnect the screen and try to boot.
So, you have the same number for both screens. You didn't open the base of the laptop, you removed the bezel and screws to replace the screen. Even if the new screen is not attached, the laptop power up for a few seconds and shuts down. But before it shuts down, when the screen was still connected, you saw the Acer logo on the screen.
Thats correct when i press the power button i get the blue lights etc ,faint acer logo then it shuts down after approx 5 seconds.
Just to let u know that when i first powered up the laptop with both battery and power cable after the screen change i heard a few bleeps aswell as the above but i dont get the bleeps now just faint logo then shut down.
