Acer lcd cable

I have Acer Aspire 6930 laptop.
the lcd cable is going bad because it comes on and goes off when movi g the lid..
the big problem is:

when i put it in all i got was a really messed up lines and white screen.
thinking that i got a bad cable, i got another, same deal...the original cable which i have to use works fine except when moving the lid..
the cable has mecdd0zk2l, there is no revision...could it be they changed something on the cable with the revision...I am going to buy a used one that has the same exact numbers except the last 3 digits on the second set which i figure is just the number that came out

look up service parts for the laptop. see if they used more then one lcd screen and inverter/control board. if they did then there going to be more then one display cable.

I think there may be 2 cables, the one I am fixing has WXGA and they did offer WUXGA...so maybe the cable signal wiring is different with the same plugs
