I opened my laptop to do some dusting because the fans were getting loud on idle. While it was opened, I wanted to replace the thermal paste on the cpu to help with the fan noise. I can only find the fans for the air vent and not the cpu fan unless it is under the mobo. Picture

I'm guessing the cpu is soldered on. Can someone confirm this?

Solution
CPU is on top of the motherboard, you are looking at the bottom. Which is somewhat unusual I have to say.

In your picture it would be to the right of the fans where you can just see the copper heat pipe heading off in that direction. Very likely directly opposite of that black thermal pad. Also seem some of the VRMs poking out there.

Yes, that CPU will be soldered in. Quite typical of ultrabooks.
