Acer TravelMate8572 has gone completely dead

Can't even get windows to open it just has a black screen with a white line and a flashing light running through it with "Setup is starting services" above it...then I get an error message saying "Windows could not complete the installation to install windows on this computer restart the installation" I click O.K. and NOTHING...can someone PLEASE help??

Hi

Run a hard drive test in DOS... HIRENS BOOT CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive... do NOT do this if you have an SSD...
