Acronis vs Windows Image Recovery?

I'm going to be using Acronis to image my system drives:

1) Acronis can make a boot CD and recover the image that way...

OR

2) Win7 install CD can also recover an image.


Is there a difference between these 2 methods, and if so, what is it?

acronis goes the extra steps,but the win 7 built in works great!

Ok, so they're equivalent? I couldn't figure out how they couldn't be to be fair...

** Also - is it common practice to store backups AND images on the same disk? I figured it might be safer to separate them...

acronis is way better

they offer like 1000 features in this subject

and they are good known company in the data and disk bussines
