Good morning everyone,

I'm opening a PDF in Adobe Reader 9, and Adobe will give me an error message about the embeded font not being installed on my system, so what I do in turn is copy the same font from a co-workers PC that opens the PDF fine in it's correct font and paste that font into my windows font folder. In theory, this should eliminate the issue of Adobe opening the document in a different font, but the problem still persists. I scoured the internet for troubleshooting with no avail, so I thought the next best place would be Tom's Hardware.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Peter

To install a font

Open Fonts by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.

Click File, and then click Install New Font.

If you don’t see the File menu, press ALT.

In the Add Fonts dialog box, under Drives, click the drive where the font that you want to install is located.

Under Folders, double-click the folder containing the fonts that you want to add.

Under List of fonts, click the font that you want to add, and then click Install.
