Yeah it's great for the price. Can't find the 970m version cheaper on Ebay, but the 980m version I can find for about $1470 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-G751JY-DB72-17-3-Inch-Gaming-Laptop-GeForce-GTX-980M-G-SYNC-/172050974752?hash=item280f098820:g:VtkAAOSwL7VWitHm) or $1520 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-G751JY-WH71-WX-17-3-GTX980M-I7-4720HQ-1T-128SSD-16Gram-/262298262772?hash=item3d1231dcf4:g:UsIAAOSwDuJWx5pH

The 970m should be good to play high end games for a few years anyway at medium settings. The MSI gaming laptops have upgradeable GPUs. Nvidia is releasing their Pascal GPUs at the end of the year or so and should bring a huge boost in performance, way larger bump than seen before really.
So you might want to wait for...

Depends what games and how much you want to push the graphics settings. It should game fairly well. It pays to look around as there may be a better option but in my experience similar hardware tends to end up with a similar price so there usually isn't much saving between brands.

Of course if you don't need to be portable a desktop PC is always going to game better and be more easily upgraded as well as cost less for the same kind of specs normally. Laptops are cool but more serious gamers don't tend to use them (unless we can afford one as a 2nd PC :))

I already have a desktop PC at home for gaming but in upcoming months i'll be traveling a lot, so i need a laptop to play games in my free time ,and basically i'll be playing all AAA heavy games that are scheduled to launch, my question is can this laptop handle all these heavy games lets say if not in high settings then at medium settings and is it good for the price it's costing

Thanks for your help, i appreciate it

So you might want to wait for that, get a laptop with a medium-end GPU from that generation which'd likely be faster than a 980m or maybe even a 980 GPU. Or buy this one and sell if before Pascal is released so you don't lose much money. Or buy it and be happy.
