I bought a used Alienware 15 which has had 2 known problems, but there was no answer online. I hate, however, solved them and hope you will put this on the page so it can be used by others. In total, I spent 9 hours separating everything, switching refrigeration paste, frame, new original power supply, etc.

The first major problem was that the CPU was locked to 0.x GhZ. Many suggestions, ranging from Bios downgrade to new power supply.
However, the problem was that the power plug in the computer was solved, so the power supply never got 100% barrel and it could detect.
Solution: Open computer, disconnect power plug and fill with glue gun or the like.

Problem 2 - Headset did not work. Everyone wrote uninstall, install, etc, etc.
The solution - start ceative sound pogram before the headset is added to the computer. It must be done every time.

Hope this helps others who have these dell problems.
Sincerely
Stefan Granholm

For the headset problem there is an easier solution. Go to the realtek website and look for whatever realtek chip is in your alienware. Then download the driver from there. It has a hotfix that fixes that issue.
