Yes its a Laptop
The CPU and GPU aren't soldered. I'm 100% sure I can put a GTX 980m MXM 3.0 module (interchangeable) with no issues hardware or bios but that does not answer the original question. I have the 240 watt power supply and I know that the 1060 MXM 3.0 will fit but I'm not sure if the heat sink will cover it 100% and also not sure if the motherboard and bios with accept the card or if anything I might need to flash the bios. Which is why I want to know if anyone has tried it.
New information I have found is that the heatsink for the GTX 880m, and the placement of the electrical components on the video card is different. The heatsink wouldn't match up with the GTX 1060 without cutting some parts out of the heatsink is what I was told by a vendor on ebay and that you also have to use the 120hz display in order to run the GTX 1060 MXM. That being said I wonder if the same would work with a 1070 or 1080 MXM...
