My Alienware laptop can not see the hdd. HDD can be seen and booted when installed in a desktop. Fujitsu hdd shows up as RAID even though laptop has only this hdd. Please help. HDD has been formatted and XP os installed. Can not boot in safe mode either.

What OS is the alienware laptop? Have you tried using the jumpers on the HDD to maybe get into it via the laptop?

XP is the os. It came with the laptop. Fujitsu MHV2060BH. I dont see any jumpers for this hdd. It is the original. In the bios it shows as RAID but you can not make any changes to it in the bios. It is also the only hdd in the laptop.
