Alienware Display Port

I have an Alienware 17 r3, do you know if the display port can be used with a Black Magic UltraStudio Mini Recorder to attach a camcorder to the laptop. I know that I can attach a camera to the HDMI input port, but I am using Vmix video production software and am curious to know if I can attach a second camcorder via the Display Port of the laptop.
