Hey guys

Long story short, I need my notebook to always be powered by the power supply with the battery still in and then the moment the power cable is removed it must go back to battery power.

How can I achieve this? Notebook/Laptop: HP Pavilion dv6 with windows 7 ultimate

Thanks

Hi, I don't understand what you are asking. If you connect the adapter, use the laptop, when you remove the adapter, the laptop should switch automatically to the battery, if the battery is good.

Okay never mind.

A lady at the office was using the wrong charger for her notebook. It was about a 0.1 amp difference. The notebook never detected that it was charging but it was in the background. I had never seen it lower than 100% so i assumed that (for power reasons) after hitting 100% the notebook would stop the charging to prevent over charging (the icon to indicate the battery would never indicate that it was charging).
