I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the processor. It came stock with an AMD A10-8700p 6th Gen with a clock speed of 1.8ghz. I would like to upgrade to probably the 7th Gen A10 or the A12, but I want to know if it is possible before I purchase the unit. Full specs below

Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad 500-15ACZ
OS: Windows 10 Home
RAM: 8gb
HDD: 1TB
CPU: AMD A10-8700P 1.8ghz

Expanding on what Rgd1101 said, it's a "BGA" CPU. That stands for Ball Grid Array, which means it's soldered to the motherboard. There is no way for a user to remove the CPU and put another one in because there is no socket. So as he said, there is no upgrade for you.
