I own a Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 duos. Details are in the screenshot.

I am bored of Samsung's blah blah... User Interface. Because of the in-built apps, performance of my phone getting worse day by day. I just wanted to install Android Kitkat 4.4.2 in my phone, since people say Kitkat can even run smooth in a 512MB ram phone. I don't know anything about custom installation of Android in a phone. Can anyone please explain from the start to the end about Installing Android Kitkat 4.4.2 in my phone?

Warranty given by Samsung got over and nothing to do with my phone officially. So don't hesitate to say unofficial things. Provide links if anything u know in this regard.

P.S.: Can I get Android Kitkat 4.4.2 with Full HD resolution? How do I get Full HD resolution?

First I should clear resolution depends upon display not the custom ROM. And yes kitkat can run with 512 MB RAM. Custom ROM is installed by rooting the phone and then installing custom recovery and finally flashing the ROM. Unfortunately I could not found anything that can indicate that kitkat exists for Mega 5.8. Probably because of lack of developers of this phone. You can change phone if you want kitkat aur perhaps maybe samsung release kitkat for it. I cant say but for now no kitkat.

Go to this website and download custom rom which looks similar to kitkat but you should have rooted device or any recovery like clockworkmod, teamwin or cyanogenmod.
