Hey community,

I know Adobe photoshop is one of the best photo editing softwares available, but it's too expensive. I already have Sony Vegas HD Platinum for video editing ($100, quite expensive), but don't feel like spending anymore money. Does any know any good FREE photo editing softwares? Thank you.

But i can't choose either one of those programs. Looks like they are all good. Have you used one of the softwares before? Which one is easier to use? Which one have the most functions?

Hi there, I don't know what all are u doing with graphic apps,

but try this one too. Its an image viewer that does lots of things for free.

I mean, u don't have to use 20lb hammer to nail a nail : )

FastStone Image Viewer is a super fast, stable,

user-friendly image browser, converter and editor.

I am using this next to Photoshop for small fixes. I am using this as a default image viewer for Win7.

It has many ways to customize the view and it just blows away that MS viewer.

It has a nice array of features that include image viewing, management, comparison, red-eye removal, emailing, resizing, cropping, retouching and color adjustments.

Its innovative but intuitive full-screen mode provides quick access to EXIF information, thumbnail browser and major functionalities via hidden toolbars that pop up when your mouse touches the four edges of the screen.

Other features include a high quality magnifier and a musical slideshow with 150+ transitional effects, as well as lossless JPEG transitions, drop shadow effects, image annotation, scanner support, histogram and much more.

It supports all major graphic formats (BMP, JPEG, JPEG 2000, animated GIF, PNG, PCX, PSD, EPS, TIFF, WMF, ICO and TGA) and popular digital camera RAW formats (CRW, CR2, NEF, PEF, RAF, MRW, ORF, SRF, ARW, SR2, RW2 and DNG).

It looks like this. One view without the tools offering and the other with the tools in place.

But only one slides out, and only when u drive your mouse to the side or the bottom,

than it pops out. Other than that, it slides out of there, if not needed.

D-load @ http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm

I have it set to full screen, but this time I scrolled down the size of the pic to add the tools view.

Representative markets for ACD Systems' products include AEC (architecture, engineering and construction), insurance, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, government, architecture/construction, education, gaming, technology, bio/health and oil/gas/energy. Customers include General Motors, Caterpillar, Boeing, The New York City Fire Department, NASA, CNN and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. ACDSee software was used in the making of the movie Titanic because the filmmakers recognized that only ACDSee could provide the illustration, editing and management tools required for their large scale, complex development tasks and image management requirements.
